Privacy Policy

In general, we use the same privacy policy that Nature Publishing Group uses for all its nature.com websites.

However, Nature Precedings has some special features, and its particular privacy rules are described here.

Personal profiles

When you log in to Nature Precedings, a basic profile will be automatically generated based on your Nature.com registration details. Other users will be able to see your name and the list of documents that you have submitted or co-authored, and comments that you have posted.

Comments

Any comments you post here can, at our discretion, be posted on the site and be attributed to you. We also reserve the right not to post comments that we feel are inappropriate.

Votes

We also capture information about votes that you make for particular documents. However, this information is not publicly attributed to you and is displayed only in an anonymous, aggregate form.

Contact details

Your email address is not publicly displayed unless you request this when submitting a document. All email addresses are obfuscated by us to reduce the chance of them being harvested by spambots and other programs. We do not publicly display any other contact information.
